Sunrise on Snæfellsnes

We left relatively early from Reykjavik to try to reach the top of Snæfellsnes for the sunrise. At that time of the year (end of January) it means about 10am.

We pushed as far as the car could go and started to hike just after 8am, having no idea if we would have enough time to reach the top before the sunrise.

But that goal slowly faded and gave place to a lot of enjoyment as we witnessed the unlimited range of colors the sky could take, from a very dark blue to a very deep blue, passing through green, purple, pink, orange and all possible mixes of those colors.

We did not get to the top in time but we reached a place where we could see the sunrise in time and finished climbing thanking the sun for warming us up.
